Dominican Republic Beaches

Some of the best beaches in the world are located in the Dominican Republic. There are over a 1,000 miles of pristine beaches surrounded by crystal clear water here. Some of the beaches offer a tranquil setting perfect for a nap or strong winds ideal for windsurfing.

The Dominican Republicís eastern shore is covered with coconut palm trees, and the beaches in the northern shore are covered with beautiful golden sand. The beaches at the western shores near Barahona are covered with grey sand. Since luxury resorts dot the shores of the island, beachgoers in any region will find plenty of restaurants, water recreation, and public bathrooms.
