St. Croix Beaches

The following are some of the most popular beaches in St. Croix.

Turtle Beach (Buck Island)

This beach is located on St. Croix’s northeastern shore. Its popular undersea snorkeling trail makes it possible for divers to observe the exotic fish, beautiful corals, and rare turtles. A hiking trail located on West Beach is a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the island.

Davis Bay Beach

Although this beach is located on the Carambola Resort, members of the public are welcome to visit it. A beautiful forest is located behind the beach. Tourists will find some of the premier snorkeling spots on St. Croix at Davis Bay Beach.

Grapetree Beach

This beach is accessible from Route 60. The Divi Carina Resort and Casino is located on Grapetree Beach. The beach is covered in white sand, and it contains sections that are shaded. Beachgoers can also swim in the calm water and find services on the beach.

Green Cay Beach

This beach is located on Green Cay, a small island near Christiansted. This beach is accessible by boat. Boat trips can be chartered at the Green Cay Marina.

Protestant Cay Beach

Protestant Cay is situated off the coast near Christiansted. Tourists wanting to travel to this beach must charter a ferry ride to reach it. Protestant Cay is a great spot for swimming and sunbathing. This beach is also usually not crowded.
